I would like to ask for prayers for the repose of my father’s soul. He died in 2017. I pray for him myself regularly and try to have Masses said for him when they are available.
My father was raised in his early years in the Catholic faith, was baptized, received his first Holy Communion and was Confirmed. As he got older and his family life changed and because of things that happened to him in his life, he wondered away from God. On the occasion that he would open up to me and share his childhood or his time as a young army solider in Vietnam. I could see that he had a love for God and a deep respect for the nuns who taught him about Jesus in his early years.
My father’s presence was BIG to those who knew him not because he was 6’4 but because he had way about him. I think his best quality was the ability to never judge a person. He always seemed to see you for you and not be influenced by others’ opinions. I’m grateful for the time I had with him, and I will always pray for the repose of his soul.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.
